A tipping point is upon us
If the Senate GOP caves, and the SAVE Act goes down in flames, so does America.

Generally speaking, a “tipping point” refers to a critical point in a process after which an unchangeable and unstoppable effect takes place. And today, right at this very moment, our country faces just such a tipping point after which, America will never be the same.
Now everyone has their own priorities and their idea of what’s most important. Does this tipping point of which I speak have to do with foreign policy, and the possibility of war with Iran or, God forbid, China? Are we staring at World War III?
I don’t think so.
The reptilian Democrat advisor James Carville might say, regarding our tipping point, “It’s the economy, stupid!” Yes, if you poll real people—which leaves out politicians, academicians, the media, and Hollywood—most folks worry first about their pocketbooks and how things are going on both Main St. and Wall St.
But, that’s not our tipping point. No, our country has survived the Great Depression, not to mention a couple of major recessions in my lifetime alone. And right now, the Trump economy is forging ahead, full steam.
Is this momentous moment a final battle between good and evil, a fight between righteous morality and the fiends doing the work of the devil, i.e., killing unborn babies, mutilating mentally-ill minors, and offing inconvenient elders?
Barring forty days and nights of rain, starting tomorrow, no.
