DHS Provides Update on U.S. Border Patrol in Portland Who Attempted to Arrest Tren de Aragua Gang Associate and Suspected Member

DHS law enforcement is facing an unprecedented 3,200% increase in vehicular attacks

PORTLAND, Ore. – Yesterday, two suspected Tren de Aragua gang associates—let loose on American streets by Joe Biden—weaponized their vehicle against Border Patrol in Portland. The agent took immediate action to defend himself and others, shooting them.

After fleeing, the suspects drove nearly five miles to an apartment complex and called emergency medical services. They were transported to separate hospitals. Luis David Nino-Moncada sustained an injury to the arm while Yorlenys Betzabeth Zambrano-Contreras was hit in the chest. Nino-Moncada is now in FBI custody. These individuals are not married. 

“Only one day after an ICE officer was almost ran over in Minneapolis, two vicious Tren de Aragua gang members—let loose on American streets by Joe Biden—weaponized their vehicle against Border Patrol in Portland,” said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “The agent took immediate action to defend himself and others, shooting them. Thankfully, no law enforcement was injured as these criminals fled. Our law enforcement officers are on the frontlines arresting terrorists, gang members, murderers, pedophiles, and rapists. They are facing a 1,300% increase in assaults against them, a 3,200% increase in vehicular attacks against them, and an 8,000% increase in death threats against them. The violence must end.”

Yorlenys Betzabeth Zambrano-Contreras

Zambrano-Contreras is a criminal illegal alien from Venezuela and is associated with the Tren de Aragua gang. She illegally entered the U.S. in 2023 near El Paso, Texas, and was released into this country by the Biden administration. Since illegally entering, Contreras played an active role in a Tren de Aragua prostitution ring and was involved with a prior shooting in Portland in July. 

Luis David Nino-Moncada

Nino-Moncada is a criminal illegal alien from Venezuela and suspected Tren de Aragua gang member. He illegally entered the U.S. in 2022 and was RELEASED into the country by the Biden administration. Since then, he was arrested for DUI and unauthorized use of a vehicle. He has a final order of removal.

Yesterday, the news broke that there was another ramming incident targeting ICE, which resulted in ICE having to shoot a driver in self-defense. This time, the driver was a Venezuelan member of the Tren de Aragua gang, who tried to run over ICE agents as he fled from justice. His passenger was also struck. She's reportedly involved in sex trafficking and prostitution.

The shooting came a day after Leftist anti-ICE activist Renee Good was shot and killed in Minneapolis after she struck an ICE agent with her vehicle. Never letting a crisis go to waste, and never missing an opportunity to go to the mattresses for violent criminals and illegal aliens, Leftists rallied to deify Good and attack ICE.

Now in Portland, both the city's mayor, Keith Wilson, and the Oregon governor Tina Kotek are doing just that with a literal gang member.

Commies protest at what they believe to be an ICE agent's house. Counterprotesters drive them off.

Right-wing counter-protesters showed up to the Antifa direct action at the home of a female alleged ICE agent. The far-left militants walked away from the house after right-wingers showed up.

Portland police release photos of suspect accused of shooting 2 officers
Both officers are in stable condition after a Monday night shooting in Portland, Oregon

Police in Portland, Oregon, released photos Tuesday of a suspect who is on the run after allegedly shooting two officers on Monday night.

The Portland Police Bureau said tactical teams are "actively searching" for the individual, described as a Caucasian male in his mid-30's with facial hair and who was wearing a black baseball cap, a black jacket over a gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black shoes.

"This is a stark reminder of the dangers of the job, the jobs that our officers go out every day to serve and protect our community, and we're grateful for," Portland Mayor Keith Wilson said during a press conference. "We're very concerned for the officers that were shot. We're happy to hear that they are in stable condition, and we wish them a speedy recovery, and we send them our prayers."   

Investigators said the shooting happened around 8:20 p.m. Monday after police responded to a report of a threat with a weapon call and located the suspect on Northeast Clackamas Street between Northeast 16th Avenue and Northeast 17th Avenue.



"The suspect fired shots at the officers, striking two of them. The officers were transported to the hospital by ambulance, treated, and their conditions are stable," the Portland Police Bureau said in a statement. 

"The suspect ran off, and numerous officers set up a perimeter around the area in an effort to contain the suspect," it added. "The Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT), the Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT), the Air Support Unit, the PPB Unmanned Aircraft Systems Unit, K9, and others responded to the scene to assist with the search."
