Wait until they figure out that some people collected benefits from multiple states simultaneously - MA, NH, RI, CT.
Feds need to stop throwing money at the states. States should only be re-imbursed 95% for GAO audited program items. States need to chip in 5% so they have skin in the game. Requiring GAO audits prior to reimbursement will reduce fraud be forcing financial controls upon Federal monies administered by states.
States see Federal funds as found money that can be misspent frivolously.
Feds should also clawback 300% for fraudulent state administered program items.
There need to be consequences to states who misspend Federal funds and there needs to be rewards to states who spend Federal funds responsibly.
