The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General revealed that Medicaid programs paid more than $207.5 million to health insurers for deceased enrollees between July 2021 and June 2022. The federal government's share totaled $138.6 million.

This unprecedented nationwide audit exposed systematic failures across state Medicaid programs in verifying beneficiary eligibility and managing enrollment databases effectively.

Nothing like the fear of losing employment to get people motivated to do their jobs.

I have no doubt that DOGE opened a lot of eyes and upgrades in technology and how info is input is going to end a lot of fraud.

Dead people have needs and Medicaid must be there to meet them.

Dead people need Medicaid to make sure they don't come back from the dead to feast on the brains of the living.

If dead people are going to vote, why wouldn't they vote for Medicaid...

I recently found out my parents have been voting Democrat for the last few years.  Sadly I have been unable to discuss this with them since they passed away many years ago.

How much longer will it take for HHS to figure out that those same dead people received another $200 million between July 2022 and June 2023, another $200 million between July 2023 and June 2024, and another $200 million between July 2024 and June 2025?

I keep hearing about these discoveries.  But I never hear about any cuts in spending once these discoveries are made.
