Just Call It Islam

Almost a quarter-century has passed since September 11, when 19 Islamic radicals murdered nearly 3,000 people in line with the blunt teaching of “The Verse of the Sword” (Quran 9:5).  That cataclysm should have sufficed to cause Western leaders to examine the doctrines of the Muhammadan religion in order to understand why the killers carried out this crime.

But that didn’t happen.  Instead, we can summarize the Western leaders’ response in two statements.

Nine days after 9/11, President Bush 43 stated in his speech before Congress,

    The terrorists practice a fringe form of Islamic extremism that has been rejected by Muslim scholars and the vast majority of Muslim clerics — a fringe movement that perverts the peaceful teachings of Islam.

Bush 43 also commented that Islam’s “teachings are good and peaceful, and those who commit evil in the name of Allah blaspheme the name of Allah.  The terrorists are traitors to their own faith, trying, in effect, to hijack Islam itself.”

After the December 14, 2025 jihadist mass murder of 15 Jews at Bondi Beach, Australian prime minister Anthony Albanese indicated that his government would focus on measures such as “increasing penalties for existing offences for hate speech” and “gun laws.”

Yep. It is what it is. You can be moderately subjugated or moderately dead, but that is their goal for those who do not follow their beliefs, no matter how softly stated.

The Muslim Brotherhood is the leading force behind political totalitarian Islam. It is also the fountainhead of terrorist Islam, particularly Al-Qaeda and Hamas.

The Brotherhood was founded in 1928 in Egypt by Hasan al-Banna, an open admirer and supporter of Adolf Hitler.

The motto of the Muslim Brotherhood: Allah is our goal. The Prophet is our leader. the Quran is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest aspiration.

In 2005, the FBI seized a document at the Northern Virginia headquarters of the Holy Land Foundation, the largest "Islamic charity" in America and a front for raising funds for Hamas (created by the Muslim Brotherhood). The document, titled "Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America", instructs members of the Muslim Brotherhood: The general strategic goal of the group in America ... is enablement of Islam in North America... establishing an effective and stable Islamic Movement led by the Brotherhood.

Further, "Muslims must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and sabotaging its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and Allah's religion is made victorious over all other religions."

Ignoramuses rarely make good policy.  Islam is no more a single monolithic ideology than is Christianity, and not every adherent to Islam is a blinkered, 7th Century barbarian unthinkingly following the Muslim Brotherhood.
