THONOTOSASSA, Fla. - It took nearly six months of investigation, but authorities say they have finally caught the man responsible for a deadly summer night shooting at a local RV park.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) announced Friday that 19-year-old Malik Rashad Cook has been arrested in connection with the June killing of Talando House.
Cook was taken into custody on Wednesday, December 18. According to investigators, HCSO detectives worked alongside the Pasco Sheriff’s Office to track Cook down. He has since been booked into the Pasco County Jail.
The charges stem from a violent incident that unfolded late on the night of June 29, 2025. Just minutes before midnight, deputies rushed to the Happy Traveler’s RV Resort on the 9400 block of East Fowler Avenue after receiving 911 calls about an altercation that had escalated into gunfire.
