The New York Times — despite going to great lengths to burry the lede — conceded in a new report that there has never been any evidence linking President Donald Trump to notorious sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes.
The article, written by Times reporters Nicholas Confessore and Julie Tate, was compiled through interviews with “more than 30 former employees of Jeffrey Epstein, victims of his abuse and others who crossed paths with Mr. Epstein and President Trump.” The Times also cited “new documents” to provide additional details on Trump’s “relationship” with Epstein.
Much of the article takes old quotes and photos dating back to the 1990s in order to paint the picture of a close relationship between Trump and Epstein. It does, however, quietly note that Epstein “had a talent for acquiring powerful friends” before outright admitting that there is no evidence linking Trump to any of Epstein’s crimes.
“An examination of their history by The New York Times has found no evidence implicating Mr. Trump in Mr. Epstein’s abuse and trafficking of minors,” the article reads.
