The Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice called it “promoting foreign culture,” detaining the guys for “imitating film actors” and shoving them into a “rehabilitation program.” Spokesman Saif-ur-Islam Khyber praised Allah for protecting Afghanistan from “harmful cultures.” Meanwhile, in the West, schools ban Christian crosses, gyms add hijab tutorials, and cities dim Christmas lights to avoid “offending” Muslims. The double standard is glaring.
