Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is facing what critics are calling a career-ending crisis as the fallout from a massive welfare fraud scheme continues to roil the state. The scandal, involving the alleged theft of more than $1 billion in taxpayer funds linked to Somali-led networks, has drawn the ire of national observers and political opponents who claim the administration ignored warnings and is now dodging accountability.
 
Victor Davis Hanson, a Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution, offered a grim prognosis for the governor’s political future during a Friday appearance on Fox Business.

Speaking to guest host David Asman on "Kudlow," Hanson argued that public patience has evaporated in the face of what he characterized as the administration’s "evasions and excuses."

"I think it’s really going to destroy the career, belatedly so, of Tim Walz," Hanson said. "I think his days are numbered as a political figure."

Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator Mehmet Oz on Friday warned Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz the state could lose federal Medicaid funding unless it restores “the integrity” of its program.

In a post on X, Dr. Oz claimed more than $1 billion had been stolen through a massive Medicaid fraud scheme carried out by “bad actors” within Minnesota’s Somali community, alleging some of the funds “may have even made its way to the Somalian terrorist group (al-Shabab).”

“Our staff at CMS told me they’ve never seen anything like this in Medicaid — and everyone from Gov. Tim Walz on down needs to be investigated, because they’ve been asleep at the wheel,” Oz said...

Don't hold your breath we're all waiting for the arrests to begin.  So far .... there's been a lot of talk, investigations and discoveries but no arrests.
