Two Florida teenagers have been accused of luring a 14-year-old girl into the woods before shooting her dead and setting her corpse on fire.
Gabriel Williams, 16, and Kimahri Blevins, 14, of Pace, have been arrested and charged with first-degree premeditated murder in the death of Danika Troy.
Troy's mother last saw her on November 30, Santa Rosa County Sheriff Bob Johnson said at a Thursday press conference.
The next morning at around 7am, Troy was reported missing as a runaway.
'Unbeknownst to the mother, Troy was murdered the previous night,' Johnson said.
Her dead body was found - charred with gunshot wounds - in a remote wooded area on December 2 at around 11am.
Investigators found multiple rounds of live ammunition nearby and evidence of a fire. Williams allegedly stole his mother's handgun to carry out the crime, Johnson said.
According to police, the alleged killers were friends with Troy from school, but the three teens ended up on bad terms over Thanksgiving break.
