Under President Donald Trump, Washington said it will refocus the forum on economic growth and deregulation and technological innovation.
In a statement, the State Department said the 2026 U.S. presidency will prioritize three themes: unleashing prosperity by cutting regulatory burdens, securing affordable and reliable energy supply chains, and pioneering new technologies.
“We will return the G20 to focusing on its core mission of driving economic growth and prosperity to produce results,” the release said.
The summit will spotlight Miami on the world stage during the nation’s 250th anniversary, and will be held at a golf resort owned by Trump. Local officials expect an influx of world leaders, delegates, and media, boosting tourism and service industries............
