Attempted murder charge for WA man accused of hurling concrete into car window

A man accused of throwing a piece of concrete at a car that crushed part of man’s face near downtown Tacoma on Saturday said he did so because he was having a mental breakdown, charging documents say. Pierce County prosecutors charged Trevor Wagner, 38, with second-degree attempted murder and first-degree assault, according to court records. On Monday, Superior Court Commissioner Barbara McInvaille ordered Wagner, who listed a Vancouver, Washington address, held without bail pending a competency evaluation. Details from charging documents Calls came in starting at 10:11 p.m. that a pedestrian on state Route 509 said he wanted to kill himself. A state trooper responded to the initial call but could not find anyone on the side of the freeway, according to charging documents.
