State Secretary Marco Rubio has now classified four far-left Antifa groups as a foreign terrorist organizations, This move gives the government far more room to cut off their funding pipelines and shut down their operations wherever they show up and hit US Antifa members with sanctions for aiding and abetting these organizations, which they are very closely tied to.
RUBIO: “The Department of State is designating four Antifa groups as Foreign Terrorist Organizations and Specially Designated Global Terrorists. The United States will continue using all available tools to protect our nation from these anti-American, anti-capitalist, and anti-Christian terrorist groups.”
The groups listed are:
•Antifa Ost (Germany, responsible for armed attacks in Hungary and Germany)
•Informal Anarchist Federation/International Revolutionary Front (FAI/FRI, Italy. Responsible for explosive attacks on police, Tesla and other “capitalist” institutions)
•Armed Proletarian Justice (Greece, IED attacks on government institutions)
•Revolutionary Class Self Defense (Greece, IED attacks on government institutions)
“The Trump administration will continue to identify and disrupt Antifa’s terror networks across the world.
These terrorist designations deny violent organizations access to America’s financial system and impose severe penalties on those who offer support to these militant groups.”
The long and short of it is that this makes it a lot harder for these organizations to operate, move money, or find safe harbor anywhere that touches the US financial system.
