Police launch hunt for 'six-foot black man' after US woman, 27, stabbed in 'unprovoked attack'

Chicago police have launched an urgent hunt for a man suspected of stabbing a 27-year-old woman in the chest in an unprovoked attack on a train platform.

The alleged victim was sitting on a bench when the man approached her.

He is then said to have plunged a knife into her chest at the station - near the University of Illinois, Chicago.

A police spokesman said the woman miraculously only suffered minor injuries and remains in hospital in a stable condition.

But now, searches are underway for the "stabber" - a six-foot tall black man, weighing between 73kg and 81kg.

This is the United States, kg??? 73kg=160 pounds and 81 kg=180 pounds. Why not just say 160-180 unless the writer just pulled the story from a European source and couldn't be bothered to convert the weight?

That descrip[tion does not narrow the field of suspects in Chicago at all.
