John Sununu launches Senate bid in New Hampshire
Former Sen. John E. Sununu (R-N.H.) officially entered the state’s 2026 Senate race Wednesday.
Sununu, 61, previously represented the Granite State from 2003-2009. He has not held elected office since Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen spoiled his bid for a second term.
Shaheen, 78, is not running for reelection.

78? That's young for a US Senator.
