Excerpt:
The so-called “tolerant” left just can’t help exposing their violent underbelly, and this latest bombshell from Virginia is a doozy that could swing a key race. National Review dropped a explosive report on Friday, October 3, 2025, revealing shocking text messages from Jay Jones, the Democratic nominee for Virginia attorney general. Back on August 8, 2022, Jones went on a deranged rant in a private chat with former GOP colleague Carrie Coyner, fantasizing about shooting then-House Speaker Todd Gilbert in the head—not once, but twice—in a twisted “three people, two bullets” scenario pitting Gilbert against Hitler and Pol Pot. Yeah, you read that right: this guy’s equating a Republican leader to history’s worst tyrants and dreaming of executing him.

“Like all people”? Sorry- don’t think I’ve threatened to kill someone’s family in a text- or even driven at 116mph for that manner. Definitely not attorney general temperament

It’s Trump's fault he’s an unhinged, violent democrat?

  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.
Trump is not the reason he's a violent Democrat.

He's just allowed the nature of the beast to rise to the surface for all to see.

Does Virginia really want an Attorney General who would convey such murderous ideation, one so effervescent they could not keep it to themselves?

How much farther would they have to go to be acting out on such, or just simply abusing the power of the office they seek?--and there is no guarantee who would be the focus of that abuse.

Virginia AG candidate once referenced putting ‘two bullets to the head’ of GOP leader, texts show
In the texts, Jay Jones wondered whether GOP leader Todd Gilbert and his wife were 'breeding little fascists'
By Charles Creitz Fox News
Published October 3, 2025 5:01pm EDT | Updated October 3, 2025 7:59pm EDT

Virginia Democratic attorney general candidate Jay Jones once remarked on shooting the Virginia House speaker in texts with another lawmaker, the latest example of charged political rhetoric some have called the politics of "rage."

Texts obtained by Fox News Digital Friday showed an August 2022 conversation between Jones — then a recently departed delegate from Norfolk — and another lawmaker after the death of Del. Joe Johnson, D-Bristol, at age 90.

"Hence the glowing tributes from the Rs. Damn, that (message) was for Mark," Jones texted Del. Carrie Coyner, R-Chester.

At the time, several House Republicans — including leadership — offered eulogizing words for Johnson, who had been known as an aisle-crossing, friendly moderate. One of those who had kind words for Johnson was then-House Speaker Todd Gilbert, R-Shenandoah.

Jones told Coyner that Johnson "leaked everything to your [Republican] caucus. It’s why Gilbert gave him such a glowing tribute."

"If those guys die before me, I will go to their funerals to piss on their graves," he continued. "Send them out awash in something."

This violent, disgusting rhetoric targeted at an elected official and his children is beyond disqualifying.
Jay Jones said that “Gilbert gets two bullets to the head” and then hoped his children would die. Read those words again.
There is no “gosh, I’m sorry” here. Jones doesn’t have the morality or character to drop out of this race, and his running mates Abigail Spanberger, Ghazala Hashmi, and every elected Democrat in Virginia don’t have the courage to call on him to step away from this campaign in disgrace.

Well, I did find this.  Maybe they will make a statement after all.

FAST, FURIOUS, & RADICAL: Jay Jones Exposed for Reckless Disregard for Human Life, 116 MPH Joyride

Jay Jones, the Virginia Democrat nominee for Attorney General, has been exposed for a dangerous, thoughtless joyride at 116 miles per hour on I-64 — 46 mph over the speed limit — that could have ended in tragedy. And it only gets worse from there.

Pulled over by state police in January 2022, Jones was convicted of reckless driving, a crime that carries a penalty of up to a year in jail. This was not some minor speeding ticket. Jones was intentionally going nearly double the speed limit because he thought that wherever he had to be was more important than the safety of everyone else on the road. He thought he was above the law.

Jones’s reckless driving mirrors his reckless political record: repeatedly voting for the early release of violent felons and opposing mandatory penalties for dangerous repeat offenders. Whether behind the wheel or in the legislature, Jay Jones shows the same callous disregard for how his actions endanger innocent people.

Even worse, Jones made a mockery of the justice system to avoid jail time. Court records show he claimed 1,000 hours of “community service” in 2023 — half of it for his own political action committee, “Meet Our Moment” — and tried to pass off campaigning as public service. Instead of accepting real accountability, Jones turned his punishment into a springboard for his political career. Only someone with no respect for the rule of law would claim that stumping for his PAC was “community service.”

Jay Jones’s record is clear: when given the chance to protect Virginians, he chooses himself. Whether it’s joyriding at 116 mph or pushing dangerous policies that put violent criminals back on the streets, his actions prove he cannot be trusted to enforce the law. Virginia families deserve an Attorney General who will uphold justice, not actively flout it.

Speeding on I-64 is a big deal in the Commonwealth.  Had this been me, my license would have been suspended.  This act alone is worth 12 points against his license.  And if he was speeding in a state vehicle, he was supposed to have an official meeting with the governor to explain why.

A politician got arrested for doing 116mph in a 45mph zone.  Sentenced to 1000 hours of community service in lieu of prison, he devoted 500 of those hours to his own political campaign, obfuscating to the court about how he did his community service.  He also not only texted a colleague about murdering other politicians, but when the recipient of the text messages objected, he called her to argue the point, insisting his opponents were worthy of assassination.
But the politician is Jay Jones, a Democrat in Virginia.  So what would be a national news story were he a Republican with Manu Raju of CNN and others shoving microphones in the faces of congressmen on Capitol Hill demanding to know if they condemn him, will, instead, be a local story so local that even the major press outlets in Virginia try to avoid it.

The contest between Jason Miyares and Jay Jones, the scion of a Beltway political dynasty, is also an interesting microcosm of how much both parties, not just their bases but also their candidates, have changed. The former Democratic lawmaker is the son of two prosecutors who became judges. He attended prep school, while Miyares grew up in a house with a single mother and went to public school. This is a reflection of how much the resumes of candidates for both parties have shifted in the era of conservative populism. ...

Meet the Democrats Who Still Endorse Jay Jones After Remarks About Wanting a GOP Leader and His Children Dead

Jasmyn Jordan  |  6 Oct 2025

Virginia Democrat attorney general candidate Jay Jones continues to hold nearly 200 endorsements from organizations, elected officials, and prominent Democrats, several days after text messages resurfaced from 2022 in which he discussed shooting former Republican House Speaker Todd Gilbert and referenced his children dying. As of Monday, October 6, none of his endorsers have withdrawn their alignment or publicly called for him to drop out of the race.

The fallout erupted late last week after National Review published messages between Jones and Republican Delegate Carrie Coyner. In the texts, Jones wrote that if faced with a choice between shooting two dictators or Gilbert, he would “pick Gilbert every time.” Coyner confirmed that Jones also referenced Gilbert’s children dying “in the arms of their mother.” Jones later apologized, saying he was “deeply sorry” and took “full responsibility” for his comments.

Since the report, calls for Jones to withdraw have come from President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, House Speaker Mike Johnson, Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin, and Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears, who is running for governor. Earle-Sears released an ad Sunday featuring Democratic support of Jones and urging voters to “reject the insanity.” Trump endorsed incumbent Attorney General Jason Miyares, describing Jones’s statements as “sick and demented,” while Miyares called them “disqualifying.”

His campaign website continues to feature backing from national figures, including Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), former Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, former Virginia Gov. Ralph S. Northam, former first ladies Dorothy McAuliffe and Pamela Northam, Rep. Bobby Scott (D-VA), Rep. Suhas Subramanyam (D-VA), Rep. Eugene Vindman (D-VA), and former Reps. Elaine Luria and Tom Perriello.

He is endorsed by the following .  .  .

New Alleged Violent Rhetoric Unearthed From Democrat AG Candidate Jay Jones, This Time About Cops

Ashley Brasfield
Reporter
October 06, 2025 6:16 PM ET

Republican Virginia Delegate Carrie Coyner alleged in an interview that Democratic Virginia Attorney General nominee Jay Jones made a violent remark about police officers during a 2020 phone call.

During an interview Monday, Coyner alleged Jones said in a 2020 conversation that if a few police officers died, it might prevent killings of other people, according to a Virginia Scope report. Jones denied making such a comment, the outlet reported.

The outlet asked Coyner to clarify what Jones was referencing when he reportedly said “I’ve told you this before” in a 2022 text exchange. Coyner alleged that it was connected to a heated phone conversation in 2020 about stripping qualified immunity protections from police officers, which shields officers from civil lawsuits. VA Dem AG Candidate Jay Jones Completed Community Service for Reckless Driving Conviction at His Own PAC for Reckless Driving Conviction

Virginia Democrat attorney general candidate Jay Jones completed half of his community service hours for a reckless driving conviction at his own political action committee (PAC), according to a report.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch reported that “court records show” Jay Jones — who is running against Republican attorney general candidate and current Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares, “was pulled over by” a state trooper around 12:55 a.m. in January 2022. Jones had been driving 116 miles per hour on I-64.

Per the outlet, while “under Virginia law, a reckless driving conviction can result in up to one year in jail,” Jones’ case ended up being “changed to ‘deferred disposition,'” and he paid a $1,500 fine and completed 1,000 hours of community service. Out of those 1,000 hours of community service, Jones did 500 hours at his own PAC:

Under Virginia law, a reckless driving conviction can result in up to one year in jail. Jones’ attorney sought to defer the case four times before the General District Court system reports the case changed to “deferred disposition,” meaning there was an agreement to avoid potential jail time in exchange for doing community service.

    Jones paid a $1,500 fine.

Documents from Jones’ attorney show that Jones completed 1,000 hours of community service in 2023 — 500 of which were for Jones’ own political action committee, called Meet Our Moment. The PAC is registered with the Virginia Board of Elections and is not a nonprofit charitable organization.

Jones issued a statement acknowledging that he “made the mistake of speeding” and was “regretful.”

The Virginia teachers union’s disgraceful endorsement

The Virginia Education Association, the influential teachers union that claims to represent educators across the commonwealth, has revealed its true colors, and they are anything but educational.

Despite explosive revelations about Jay Jones, the Democratic nominee for Virginia attorney general, fantasizing about violent acts against a Republican lawmaker, the VEA stubbornly clings to its endorsement of him. If the VEA won't do the right thing and pull its support, Virginia voters, and teachers themselves, must force accountability at the ballot box and beyond.

The scandal erupted when Jones's past statements surfaced, exposing a chilling disregard for civility and human decency. Leaked text messages reveal Jones went beyond disagreeing with former Republican Virginia House of Delegates Speaker Todd Gilbert to indulging in grotesque fantasies of violence.

He “wished Gilbert's wife could watch her own child die in her arms so that Gilbert might reconsider his political views,” according to the report. He went further, declaring that "Gilbert gets two bullets to the head." And in a final display of venom, Jones proclaimed, "I will go to their funerals to piss on their graves."

Shock Poll Provides Brutal Result For Scandal-Ridden Dem In Closely Watched Race

Published 3 hours ago

on October 11, 2025

By Cullen McCue

A shocking statewide poll from Trafalgar Group produced a brutal result for Jay Jones, the Democratic Party nominee for attorney general who has been reeling from a massive scandal following the emergence of disturbing text messages he sent to a colleague during his time in the Virginia House of Delegates. The poll also measured a razor close race in the state’s gubernatorial election.

When asked who they would vote for if the election were held tomorrow, 48.9 percent of likely voters indicated that they would vote for incumbent Attorney General Jason Miyares, a Republican. Just 43.1 percent expressed support for Jones, who enjoyed a lead in polling averages before the scandal threw his campaign into disarray.

A sizable number of respondents, eight percent, remain undecided, Trafalgar found.

In 2022 text messages to a colleague, Jones stated that he wanted to put “two bullets” in the head of then-Republican House Speaker Todd Gilbert. He then doubled down and threatened Gilbert’s wife and children over the phone, according to a report from the National Review.

“I’ve told you this before. Only when people feel pain personally do they move on policy,” the Democrat nominee told Republican House Delegate Carrie Coyner. Jones then directed his violent rhetoric towards Gilbert’s children. “I mean do I think Todd and Jennifer are evil? And that they’re breeding little fascists? Yes,” he went on.

Bar Complaints Pile Up Against Jay Jones Over Violent Texts Against GOP Lawmakers
National Legal and Policy Center says Jones should lose law license for ‘outrageous, violent rhetoric’

Andrew Kerr
October 14, 2025

Virginia attorney general candidate Jay Jones (D.) should be stripped of his license to practice law, a government watchdog group charged in a complaint Tuesday with the Virginia State Bar (VSB), the third such petition filed since the release of text messages showing Jones fantasizing about killing a GOP lawmaker and wishing for the death of that lawmaker’s child.

The National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC) said Jones violated the Virginia Rules of Professional Conduct, which require attorneys to demonstrate respect for public officials in their professional and personal affairs, when he sent text messages in 2022 to Virginia state delegate Carrie Coyner (R.) saying then-speaker of the state house, Todd Gilbert (R.), should get "two bullets to the head," and that he would like to "piss on the graves" of his Republican colleagues over policy disagreements. Later, during a phone call with Coyner, Jones said he wished Gilbert’s wife could watch her own children die to spur her husband to change his political views.

"Jay Jones should be disbarred for his outrageous, violent rhetoric," NLPC counsel Paul Kamenar told the Washington Free Beacon. "And even if he should be elected attorney general, he would be prohibited from carrying out his legal duties if he were disbarred or his license suspended. At a minimum, he would be under a cloud of an adverse disciplinary investigation by the Virginia State Bar."

The watchdog group’s complaint comes as Jones’s campaign to replace incumbent attorney general Jason Miyares (R.) continues to implode in the fallout of a National Review report exposing his violent text messages. Jones once held a comfortable polling lead over Miyares, but is now trailing his Republican opponent and dragging his Democratic ally, gubernatorial candidate Abigail Spanberger, down with him, the Free Beacon reported. Spanberger, who is clinging onto a razor-thin lead over her Republican opponent, Lieutenant Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears, refused to disavow Jones during a debate Thursday but continues to sell campaign apparel promoting Jones.
