Gov. Ron DeSantis has signed a death warrant for Bryan Jennings, who was convicted of the 1979 kidnapping and murder of six-year-old Rebecca Kunash.

I added a time limit to my "death penalty amendment":

"This Constitution recognizes capital punishment to be an appropriate penalty pursuant to the due process of law.

As such, no Court of the United States, nor of the Several States, may declare the death penalty invalid under this Constitution, nor shall any of the Several States enact laws that do the same.

No appeals shall be entertained on a capital conviction to exceed thirty-six months from the date of initial conviction. After the thirty-six month period has expired, execution will be carried out within thirty days.

No person in the United States, nor in the several States, shall face capital punishment unless above the age of twelve years and six months."

The only thing I disagree with is the age. I think it should be 17 years 6 months
sorry I firmly believe that some individuals are just to evil to ever be let out on the street again, nor should the taxpayers have to support them for however long they may live. There have been absolutely heinous murders committed by individuals younger than your threshold. My attitude is you commit adult crimes you get adult sentence unless there are some impressive extenuating circumstances. Gangs have used children to commit their murders for a very long time because children get or have gotten light sentences and that has gotten us to where children have no fear of causes great bodily injury or committing murder. We need to put the fear of terminal consequences on the table for these ‘children’.
