Disney and ABC caving and allowing Kimmell back on the air is not surprising, but it's their mistake to make.
Nextstar and Sinclair do not have to make the same choice.

JUST IN: Jimmy Kimmel's show will return to ABC on Tuesday after it was suspended following his comments on the Charlie Kirk assassination.

"Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country," the Walt Disney Company said in a statement.

"It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive."

"We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday." ...

I suspect if Kimmel still refuses to apologize for his lying, the station owners won't air it.  But we'll see.

Any word from the Sinclair and Nexstar groups of ABC affiliates? They could run documentaries about paint drying and draw a larger audience than Kimmel.

Here is Sen. Jacky Rosen (D-NV) doing the EXACT thing they falsely accused Carr of doing.

First, she levies a fictitious accusation against Carr that he contacted Nextar.  He didn't.

Next, she does the very thing she falsely criticized Carr for by using her political power "as a member of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation" to influence Nextar:
