A convicted pedophile who has been removed from the U.S. multiple times has been living at an in-home daycare in California operated by his wife, who also entered the country illegally, authorities say.

Ezequiel Cruz-Rodriguez was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on Wednesday in the sanctuary city of San Diego.

Cruz-Rodriguez is a known member of the Logan Heights gang with a slew of prior deportations and convictions for heinous crimes.

He was first removed from the U.S. in 1996, then again in 2003, and a third time in 2012 before slipping back into the country at an unknown date and location.
