Reporter Shares Her Sexual Assault Story That Shows the DC Crime Stats Are Hopelessly Doctored

It’s only one account in one conservative news outlet, but it was enough to torpedo a host of Democratic arguments attacking President Donald Trump’s crackdown on crime in the District of Columbia.

Anna Giaritelli, a homeland security reporter for the Washington Examiner, went public this week with the story of how she was sexually assaulted in Washington, D.C., back in 2020.

Her account not only backs up conservative contentions that crime statistics in the district are skewed, but shows that most Americans don’t know how bad it really is.
 

The heart of the issue in Trump’s federal takeover of D.C. policing is Democrats claiming it’s a grandiose power play, unnecessary because the official numbers show crime gradually decreasing.

The time has come to enact a crime regulation that pertains to those in elected office or in a government bureaucratic positions that when they mismanage or intentionally misinform the public, they are held responsible.  To start with, immediate expulsion from their position with loss of any pensions and compensation subsequent to separation.

Reporting crime is down in a community when it is something other than down should carry the above penalty.  Termination and no further compensation and an exclusion from further employment by that government. 

Plus, we need to get much more aggressive on crime.  All looters should be shot on sight.  Store owners have the right to kill anyone robbing their business.  And no questioning such actions either.  Looting would all but end overnight.

Murder, rape, and any other violent crime that results in bodily injury to another requires a minimum of 15 years in prison, no early out for good behavior.  Keep the violent people where they belong, behind bars.

And with the average person convicted of a capital crime sitting on death row for an average of 25 years, that must change.  There must be a time limit on acquiring an appeal.  I say two years.  If an appeal is secured, the case is heard.  If the accused is found guilty again, and again sentenced to death, he/she is executed at sunrise the next day.  No further appeals.  The individual has been convicted twice of the same crime, time for them to face their penalty.

If an appeal is not granted after two years, at two years and 1 day, the individual sentenced to death receives their punishment.  Perhaps if we conducted the punishment within a reasonable period of time, then the sentence of capital punishment might have a modest deterrent factor.  But with the average person sitting on death row for 25 years, there is zero deterrent factor.

With 350 million people in this nation, we really need to begin eliminating those that would cause violent harm to the peaceful law abiding people in our society.  The Democrimelovingcommie Party must be forced to greatly alter their romance with the criminal element of our society.  And rather than transacting executions with a small audience to witness the execution, I say make it pay per view, a George Carlin idea, and use that revenue to pay down national/state debt.
