Mamdani's vow to wage war on Trump WILL be a nightmare — for New York City
Post Editorial Board

Zohran Mamdani promises to be President Donald Trump’s “worst nightmare” if he becomes mayor, but the actual victims of any such faceoff will be the people of New York City.

For starters, no mere mayor, even of America’s greatest city, has the juice to pick a fight with the federal government and hope to come out on top.

In fact, it’s a joke to think a Mayor Mamdani could even step in the ring.

Look: The city depends heavily on federal cash to help the people Mamdani claims to care the most about, namely the poor.

Three out of five New York City residents are on Medicaid or related health plans, and the feds pay for most of that coverage, tens of billions of dollars a year.

The city Housing Authority and the MTA — both constantly on the brink of physically falling apart — depend on billions more, both for operating costs and capital spending.

Billions flow to the city for education, foster care, aid for needy families, school lunch, “community development,” fire and rescue services and other programs that make the city “affordable” for its less-fortunate residents.

zombie-mammi is likely to be the next mayor of New York City.

Remember that he doesn't need a majority to win in the general election -- only "the most votes cast". Thus, he could theoretically win with, say, 39% of the total votes cast, if no other candidate receives that many.

And... turnout for the last few mayoral races in NYC has been very low. Those who WILL come out to vote will probably be the "mostest-leftist".

There's one consolation here, that I haven't seen any article mention yet.
So you're hearing it from me, here, now, first.

The governor of New York state has the legal authority to remove the mayor of New York City from office.

Of course, there must be a reason of some kind or another for such action.
But it can be done, and HAS been done in the past (although a long time ago).

So... it's possible, just possible, that zombie-mammi may do something so egregious as to prompt such action by hochul, even though she's as much a communist apparatchik as might be found in the position she holds (as is that gal governor in Arizona).

Just a possible scenario whereby he could be REMOVED from office after being elected.

Hmmm...
Who will be in line to take his job over if that happens?

And so it starts. The little Mohamad from Uganda is on tour.  Bless his heart.
You don’t become cooler with age but you do care progressively less about being cool, which is the only true way to actually be cool.
