The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office confirmed deputies responded to a 911 call on April 20 regarding a possible mental health crisis at a residence on Ridge Road. When officers arrived, they encountered a man outside the home who was armed. Authorities say the individual then used the weapon on himself and was pronounced dead at the scene.
