Pelosi tries to stir pot: Republicans won’t go against Trump because ‘everybody’s afraid’

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is under the impression that Republicans are afraid of President Donald Trump.
During an interview with Sirius XM’s “Mornings with Zerlina,” Pelosi explained that she believes even when members of the GOP disagree with the president, they’re not comfortable publicizing it. This is due to a fear of Trump coming after them, she claims.
“Hardly anybody is speaking out because everybody’s afraid,” Pelosi said. “And there’s real justification for fear because Trump is just ruthless in how he’s going after those who do not agree with him.”
It’s true that Trump has enjoyed overwhelming support from congressional Republicans in his second term, but there have been a number of those who have disagreed with him on matters such as the “Big, Beautiful Bill” and the Epstein files announcement. While Trump has voiced his displeasure regarding some of these elected officials, it doesn’t appear to have scared them away from voicing their opinions.
Pelosi went on to claim that GOP members are completely ignoring the role of the legislative branch “to cater to the executive branch” during Trump’s second and final term. One of her crazier theories includes Republicans being fearful of “fake investigations that he could start” and threats to their safety if they oppose the president’s policies. She recalled her husband being attacked by a hammer-wielding David Depape in 2022. During his trial, Depape’s attorney claimed that the man had succumbed to “conspiracy theories” before the attack at the Pelosi home.
