Andy Barr (R-KY) has proposed a constitutional amendment to limit birthright citizenship, stating that U.S.-born individuals qualify only if at least one parent is a citizen, permanent resident, or legal-status military member. The measure aims to address what Barr sees as legal ambiguities in the 14th Amendment. Supporters argue it will clarify citizenship rules, while critics warn it could undermine immigrant rights.

He should have added that the one parent who is a citizen cannot be a democrat. :whistle:

It merely clarifies what the interpretation of the 14th should have been all along.
It isn't needed if the Amendment is just read and interpreted correctly.
