Rhode Island just passed one of the most quietly dangerous gun control laws in America—and it’s flying under the radar. In a move that Second Amendment defenders are calling a “backdoor ban,” the state has prohibited the sale, manufacture, and distribution of so-called assault weapons, while still technically allowing residents to possess them.




I think the Supreme Court would halt this illegal operation!
We can't afford this if we want our country to continue it's way of life, our guns will remain no matter what!

True. But an AR-15 is not a machine gun. It is a semi-automatic rifle of relatively small caliber (.223 cal/5.56 NATO) and significantly lower muzzle velocity than common hunting rifles.

The term "assault rifle" is a fabricated catch-all definition commonly employed to confuse people unfamiliar with firearms, but reasonably concerned with the use of them by criminals.

That's why you don't need a machine gun to hunt deer.  It has other uses.

Chances are you'd just mess up a lot of meat.
Most deer hunters will use only one or two shots to fill their tag.
The best, just one.

Consider, confining people to rifles with limited capacity is only incentive for them to be more accurate and make every shot count.

Those were the guys who turned battles: the sharpshooters, backwoodsmen who hunted for the table and larder, who selected and removed enemy commanders from the field with accurate shots on more than one occasion.

If things go to pot, who wants to face a nation of snipers?
