Woman Charged for Threatening to Shoot ICE Agents
 
A woman who allegedly threatened to shoot federal immigration officers has been arrested and charged.

On Wednesday, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) published details about the case against Michelle Lee Varela, a 42-year-old resident of San Antonio.

Authorities say Varela “influenced, impeded or retaliated against a federal officer by threat and used interstate communications to transmit a threat to injure another.”

ICE was investigating the immigration status of Varela’s husband when she allegedly “used profanity and said if her husband was taken into custody, she would shoot them” during a contentious phone call on June 4.
