An interesting historical fact: until the Wannsee Conference in January 1942, when mass extermination was decide on as "the final solution to the Jewish question in Europe", the Nazis had been content to render the Reich judenrein by a combination of murder of and emigration by Jews, the most popular destination for emigration being the Palestine Mandate, then under British control.
In November 1941, two months before the Wannsee Conference, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini, the head of the Muslim Brotherhood, the movement from which all Sunni terrorist organizations including al Qaeda and the Daesh (ISIL, or ISIS for those without enough Arabic to know that al Sham does not mean "Syria", but "the Levant") derive, visited Berlin. In their discussion of the Jews, al-Husseini, told Hitler, "We don't want them. Why don't you just kill them all?" Two months later, the Nazis decided to do just that.
