Trump vows DOGE cuts will be codified after passage of ‘Big, Beautiful Bill’

President Donald J. Trump said that the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) spending cuts will soon be codified, making sure that Elon Musk and his team’s work to help reform government hasn’t been for naught.

During a Friday White House press conference marking the end of Musk’s 130 days as a “Special Government Employee,” the president said that the DOGE cuts will be made permanent by Congress after the work is done to pass his signature “Big, Beautiful Bill” which is currently awaiting input from the GOP-controlled Senate.

I doubt it. The Establishment Loyalists in the Pub party will never actively hurt the administrative state.
