Trump Demands Alcatraz to Reopen: 'House the Worst of the Worst and Take Back Our Streets

In a bold move signaling a return to law and order, President Donald Trump has called for the reopening of the infamous Alcatraz prison to house what he described as “America’s most ruthless and violent criminals.” As soft-on-crime policies in liberal strongholds like California continue to fail, Trump’s proposal taps into growing public frustration over skyrocketing crime and unchecked violence in major cities.

On Sunday, President Trump called for the Alcatraz prison in San Francisco to be rebuilt on a larger scale and reopened to house the nation’s most ruthless and violent criminals. He vowed that the United States would no longer “tolerate these serial offenders who spread filth, bloodshed, and mayhem on our streets.”

“REBUILD, AND OPEN ALCATRAZ!" Trump wrote in a Truth Social post. "For too long, America has been plagued by vicious, violent, and repeat Criminal Offenders, the dregs of society, who will never contribute anything other than Misery and Suffering. When we were a more serious Nation, in times past, we did not hesitate to lock up the most dangerous criminals, and keep them far away from anyone they could harm.”

Alcatraz, the once-infamous maximum-security prison located on a remote island in the San Francisco Bay, has been closed for over 60 years. Now, President Trump has announced plans to bring it back. He’s directing the Bureau of Prisons to coordinate with the Department of Justice, the FBI, and Homeland Security to reopen the facility as a holding site for America’s most dangerous and violent criminals. Trump said the move would restore Alcatraz as a powerful symbol of law, order, and justice.

This would be difficult.  Even in its time, it was an isolated complex with high operating costs due to rampant corrosion, and it may not be secure due to the availability of speed boats and whatnot.  There is also a late summer/early fall period where swimming for land is within the realm of possibility, since the water temp is survivable.

Trump just can’t help himself. He had every opportunity to make his second term very successful and just about assuring the GOP retain control mid term. And for awhile it seemed like it. But daily now he’s either saying something idiotic or posting it. None of it helping him or Republicans in general.  We lose the house mid term the second half of his term will be impeachment after impeachment, giving Vance little chance to win in 2028.

A new era of dealing with depraved lawbreakers dawned today, as President Donald Trump vowed to reopen and expand Alcatraz by putting up a fence around the entire city of San Francisco.

The new plan, which administration insiders said would be implemented immediately, would turn the city into a prison colony for America's worst criminals, most of whom already reside in San Francisco.

"It's a tremendous idea, frankly," Trump told reporters. "We're going to create one big, beautiful prison city, just like the British did with Australia. We will round up all the bad people in our country and ship them off to Alcatraz, which will now encompass all of San Francisco. We're going to build a big fence all around the city and make California pay for it. Most of the awful people are already in San Francisco anyway, so it's a great idea. We just need it to be bigger."

When asked what effect this expansion would have on other Bay Area residents, Trump was resolute. "If they were good people, they wouldn't live there," he said. "Nothing will make America safer and more secure than fencing off San Francisco from the rest of the country. They're bad folks there. All of them. We'll make sure Nancy Pelosi is in there, too." ...

The new director of the federal Bureau of Prisons said the agency will "vigorously" pursue "all avenues to support and implement" the president's agenda after President Donald Trump said he was wanted to reopen Alcatraz as a "substantially enlarged and rebuilt" prison.

Over the weekend, Trump posted on Truth Social that he was directing the Bureau of Prisons, along with the Department of Justice, FBI and DHS to reopen the facility.

"The Bureau of Prisons (BOP) will vigorously pursue all avenues to support and implement the President's agenda," said BOP Director William K. Marshall III, who was sworn in last month. "I have ordered an immediate assessment to determine our needs and the next steps. USP Alcatraz has a rich history. We look forward to restoring this powerful symbol of law, order, and justice. We will be actively working with our law enforcement and other federal partners to reinstate this very important mission.
