President Donald Trump said he has “no intention” of firing Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell before his term leading the U.S. central bank expires next year.

Trump has recently ramped up his rhetoric against Powell and declined to rule out the possibility of taking the unprecedented step of firing him.

U.S. stock futures rose sharply across major indexes following Trump’s latest remarks.

President Donald Trump on Tuesday said he has “no intention” of firing Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell before his term leading the U.S. central bank ends next year.

“None whatsoever,” Trump said in the Oval Office when asked to clarify that he did not seek Powell’s removal. “Never did.”

The comment represents a dramatic shift for Trump, who has recently ramped up his rhetoric against Powell and declined to rule out the possibility of taking the unprecedented step of firing him.

U.S. stock futures rose sharply across major indexes following Trump’s latest remarks.

However, he could resign. Maybe Powell is on Epstein's list or better yet, maybe he's on Epstein's videos that somebody has taken from Epstein's his vault and deep 6'd.

Whoever has those videos owns a treasure. We'll never know how many of our government officials and corporate magnates are compromised.

You really believe that the list an the stuff the FBI took out of his safe was a nothingburger?
Surely you jest.
Whether that is ever made public is another story.

I really wish he would shut his yap, where monetary policy is concerned.  Foreigners are going to lose confidence in the dollar.
