Hard to believe things like this go on in our supposedly modern world.

Of course it goes on in the USA.  I worked for an Asian, was his number 1 salesman.  He owed me over $100,000.  I called the top owner, the guy with the money, and verbally ripped his head off.  I got $50,000 over night, but the junior partner and him stiffed me for about $45,000.  I would never again work for any Asian.  They almost all lie and cheat you every damn day!!!  It wasn't the first time either, but there will not be a 3rd!

That's what courts are for, friend.  You talk to the judge, he says, "Pay the man his money."

One crook tried to stiff my college age daughter for her vacation pay when she quit after finding out how he screwed over college students who he was booking trips to Australia for.  I told her to take him to small claims court.  She asked me to go with her.  NO way, I said. He will tease you about needing "DADDY."  Here's how you handle it.

He lost.
He appealed. Daughter said, "DAD!"  I replied, honey, you won.  No worries. 

She went to the appeal.  He never showed  She got a judgement against him. He refused to pay.
I told her to seize the judgement from his bank account. Crook came over and paid my daughter all he owed plus her court costs.
 Daughter said, "Dad that was so sweet."
