This tells me that this war is not over. Until this number gets to 10-15% (Green Antfa, Kooky Karen crowd), there is still a need to fight the disinformation. Years of brainwashing do not evaporate overnight.
Years? Decades. The kids I refused to let watch "Captain Planet" are in their 50s now. Everything from cartoons to National Geographic to college texts is infused with this Anthropogenic Global Warming crap.
Base your science on fundamentally flawed assumptions, and it will take decades more to get this crap out of the system, and it won't be easy. The only 'revolution' I can think of in scientific thought that occurred within even a couple decades was the shift from Geosynclinal Theory to the recognition of Continental Drift and Plate Tectonics, and that was not a pretty transition, even though the evidence was overwhelming. It took a couple of decades, even fistfights among the opposing proponents before it was sorted out. Now, we have an even greater contingent of flat/hollow Earth believers and all sorts of other unsupported ideas running around, so the idea of any rational thought prevailing is one which will take time to prevail.
For decades, from the cradle, people have been programmed with the fear of humanity somehow dying in insane heat, alleging humanity has been controlling the climate through industrial production and 'destroying/killing' the planet.
Suicidal tendencies follow, on a scale only lemmings can imagine.
They have been told their only hope for salvation is to shed any technological capability to "save" the planet, a course of action which will only lead to the collapse of civilization and possibly extinction of our species.
The only people really talking about doing anything that might actually affect the climate want to launch the next ice age by finding ways to block the sun, allegedly to keep us from 'suffering' the effects of what are actually natural cycles, basing their beliefs on flawed nonsense, or worse, some sort of diabolical desire to massively cull humanity, with themselves deciding who is worthy, of course. The Georgia Guidestones were their plan, carved in stone.
Colonizing Mars might be our only hope if humanity is to survive irreversible decisions made on the basis of deeply flawed theory, by a few who think the intensity of their belief or their desire to 'rule the world' makes them right.
