ICE Arrests Indian National In California, Suspected Of Ties To Transnational Crime
Story by Jake Grissom • 19h

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested Gurdev Singh, a 23-year-old Indian national, in French Camp, California, as part of a targeted criminal enforcement operation.

Singh, who illegally entered the United States, was taken into custody on March 12th.

"ICE welcomes partnerships between federal and local law enforcement," said ERO San Francisco acting Field Office Director Polly Kaiser. "Leveraging professionalism, dedication to public safety, and combined investigative resources saves lives and makes not only the U.S. a safer nation, but those from which criminal aliens come."

Singh illegally entered the U.S. at an unknown location and date, without admission or parole by U.S. immigration authorities. He was initially encountered by U.S. Border Patrol near Lukeville, Arizona, on September 2, 2023, and subsequently released on his own recognizance with a notice to appear before an immigration judge.
