In 2022, Velasquez, 42, went on an 11-mile high-speed chase in Morgan Hill, California, hunting down Harry Goularte Jr., a man accused of molesting Velasquez’s 4-year-old son at a daycare run by Goularte’s mother, per the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office. Velasquez rammed Goularte’s vehicle and fired multiple rounds from a .40-caliber handgun, missing Goularte but hitting his stepfather, Paul Bender, in the arm, causing non-life-threatening injuries, per AP News.
