Sebastian Gorka Shuts Down Jake Tapper In Heated Interview: ‘No, Not Regardless’

The “fake news industrial complex” is stifling President Donald Trump’s progress in dismantling the federal government, Sebastian Gorka asserted on CNN Monday, where he admonished Jake Tapper for quoting a Washington Post story about cuts to USAID.

According to the Post, the obliteration of the U.S. Agency for International Development has “threatened programs intended to counter al-Shabab bombmakers, contain the spread of al-Qaeda across West Africa and secure Islamic State prisoners in the Middle East, according to U.S. officials and aid workers.” Asked by Tapper if he was concerned about the cuts, Gorka didn’t hesitate in firing back.

“Is that the same Washington Post that propagated the Russia, Russia collusion hoax for the past eight years?”

“Regardless of the Russia-” Tapper attempted to interject.

“No, not regardless,” replied the Trump advisor. “You’re quoting the Washington Post to me, which is as effective as quoting any other pillar of the fake news industrial complex. I really couldn’t care less what the Washington Post or the New York Times says, especially when it’s anonymous government officials.”

The Post report relied on four government officials who requested anonymity “because they feared government retaliation.”

“If it’s true, put your name to it. If it’s not, shut up,” Gorka finished.
