SpaceX chief executive Elon Musk has revealed the 'political reasons' which he says drove the Biden administration to 'abandon' two NASA astronauts in space.

During a Friday appearance on Joe Rogan's podcast, the Joe Rogan Experience, Musk said Biden rejected his offer to bring Sunita Williams and Barry Wilmore home early because it would've made Donald Trump 'look good.'

Musk backed Trump during the 2024 campaign and appeared at several rallies MAGA rallies.

The tech CEO explained to Rogan that the Biden administration did not want to jeopardize Kamala Harris' presidential campaign and intentionally 'pushed the return date past the inauguration date.'

'There's no way that they're gonna make anyone who's supporting Trump look good,' he said.

Musk's remarks shocked Rogan. 'That's so crazy... It's just disgusting that they would use that as a political tool,' he said.

Musk also noted that the Biden administration was suing SpaceX at the time.

'So people say, like, 'Oh, Elon's making it up. The Biden administration wasn't against SpaceX,' he said.

'I'm like, bro, the Department of Justice had a massive lawsuit against SpaceX for not hiring asylum seekers, even though it is illegal for us to hire anyone who is not a permanent resident.'

During a recent news conference from orbit, stranded NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams addressed questions concerning their extended stay on the International Space Station (ISS) and the political controversy surrounding their return. Wilmore said Elon Musk’s claim that Joe Biden blocked a SpaceX rescue mission for political reasons is “absolutely factual.”

Ars Technica reports that NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams have found themselves at the center of a political storm while stranded about the ISS. The astronauts, who were originally scheduled for an eight-day mission on Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft, have been stranded in space for over eight months due to technical issues with the vehicle.

The situation became further complicated when SpaceX founder Elon Musk claimed that he had offered to bring Wilmore and Williams back to Earth in 2024, but the White House denied this option for political reasons. In a statement, Musk said, “The astronauts were only supposed to be up there for 8 days and now have been there for 8 months. SpaceX could have sent up another Dragon and brought them home 6 months ago, but the Biden White House (not NASA) refused to allow it. President Trump asked to bring them back as soon as possible and we are doing so.”

Joe Biden was/is such a despicable individual.  I think Wrecking Ball Joe was an appropriate name for him, for everything he touched was destroyed.
