Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd recently noted the need for federal immigration authorities to collaborate more closely with Florida law enforcement to combat illegal immigration and crime. He argued that local agencies can serve as crucial allies for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in deporting illegal immigrants. Judd advocated for improved infrastructure to detain migrants and called for better communication between federal and local authorities.
