MSNBC viewers ditch network, switch to NewsNation in January

Nexstar Media Group's upstart cable news channel NewsNation scored a major victory in January, with the network topping MSNBC among key demographic viewers across several programs.
NewsNation attracted an average daily audience of just over 66,000 viewers, according to Nielsen ratings, the channel's best month since NewsNation dropped re-runs of "Blue Bloods" that remained from its time as WGN America in favor of a full commitment to around-the-clock news seven days a week.
Prime-time tends to be the peak hours for cable news viewership, and NewsNation delivered with an average daily audience of over 121,000 viewers, ranking 50th among cable news channels and outpacing CNBC and Fox Business.
