Trump poised to proceed with promised purge of ‘woke’ Pentagon personnel

AN ANTI-WOKE WARRIOR AS SECDEF: If Fox News host Pete Hegseth becomes the next defense secretary — either by Senate confirmation or recess appointment — the U.S. military will be led by a decorated combat veteran who believes diversity policies are degrading America’s military might that women are dragging down the effectiveness of ground combat units, and that transgender troops have no place in the military.

In announcing his pick of the 44-year-old Hegseth — co-host of Fox News Channel’s Fox & Friends Weekend and a former infantry captain in the Army National Guard who did tours in Iraq and Afghanistan — President-elect Donald Trump touted his recent book The War on Warriors: Behind the Betrayal of the Men Who Keep Us Free in which Hegseth excoriates the current military leadership as too focused on their careers and woke ideology, instead of winning the next war. “The book reveals the leftwing betrayal of our Warriors, and how we must return our Military to meritocracy, lethality, accountability, and excellence,” Trump said in his statement.

“You can’t win a war if every soldier’s out for himself, and especially if a leader is so focused on covering his ass that he can’t be honest about failure,” Hegseth writes in his book published earlier this year. “Our generals are not ready for this moment in history. Not even close. The next president of the United States needs to radically overhaul Pentagon senior leadership to make us ready to defend our nation and defeat our enemies. Lots of people need to be fired.”

Hegseth’s book spent nine weeks on the New York Times best-sellers list, including two weeks at number one. It’s no doubt going to go back to number one with a bullet, as my Kindle download last night was undoubtedly only one of thousands as people scramble to find out just what Hegseth is all about.

As the issue of transgender people in the military comes back into the spotlight, critics have raise concerns about its impact on readiness, cohesion, and morale.
Here are the top 8 arguments for banning transgender people in the military: 🧵
8:18 AM · Nov 25, 2024

1) Combat Demands Peak Performance - Combat roles require strength, endurance, and resilience at the highest levels. Critics argue that hormone treatments associated with transitioning may reduce muscle mass, stamina, and bone density, potentially creating physical disparities that undermine trust and effectiveness in life-or-death scenarios.

2) Readiness Is Non-Negotiable - The military relies on every service member being deployable 24/7. Surgeries and hormone therapies often require extended recovery periods, which critics say create gaps in availability and weaken overall readiness—a cornerstone of military success.

3) Cohesion Relies on Trust - Cohesion within units depends on trust in every member’s ability to perform under pressure. Concerns about mental health challenges or potential tensions in communication could disrupt that trust, weakening morale and team effectiveness.

4) Recruitment Challenges - With the military already facing a recruitment crisis, critics say that prioritizing inclusivity risks alienating traditional recruits who value discipline, meritocracy, and shared military values. Restoring these principles is seen as key to attracting and retaining top talent.

5) Privacy in Shared Spaces - Barracks, showers, and restrooms are shared by service members in close quarters. Critics raise concerns that including transgender individuals in these spaces could create discomfort, especially for female service members, and lead to unnecessary tension.

6) Logistical Distractions - Accommodating transgender individuals requires changes to uniforms, fitness standards, and housing policies. Some argue that extra accommodations add logistical complexity and distract leadership from mission-critical priorities like training and combat readiness.

7) Adversarial Advantages - America’s enemies (China/Russia) prioritize operational strength without debates over social policies. Critics warn that a loss of focus on readiness and discipline risks giving these nations a strategic edge.

8) The Mission Comes First - The military’s primary role is to defend the nation and win wars. Critics argue that policies perceived as prioritizing social agendas over operational effectiveness risk eroding public trust and undermining the military’s ability to succeed.

Conclusion - The arguments for banning transgender people in the military center on concerns about readiness, cohesion, and morale—especially in combat roles where trust and performance are critical. Critics emphasize the need to prioritize the mission above all else.
The abnormal is not the normal just because it is prevalent.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

Our greatness as a superpower has been predicated the past 100 years of having the greatest militaries in the world.

Wokeness in the military destroys that.  It must be purged ASAP.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.
