West Point is facing backlash from critics in recent years over controversial decisions, such as removing its motto "Duty, Honor, Country" from its mission statement. The phrase was replaced with a reference to "the Army Values." More recently, the college is being sued for its choice to rename its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion office (DEI).
