Whoopi engulfed by firestorm she ignited with big lie about family-owned NY bakery

Leftist loudmouth Whoopi Goldberg might want to consider lawyering up after “The View” co-host was caught in another big lie, this time defaming a family-owned New York bakery while on-air.
During Wednesday’s edition of the ABC gabfest, the 69-year-old was celebrating her birthday with the squawking harpies with some Charlotte Russe dessert treats which she told the audience were her mother’s favorite before claiming that the business had refused to provide the delightful sweets because of her political views.
“Now, I should tell you, Charlotte Russe has no political leanings, and the place that made these refused to make them for me,” she said to gasps from the live audience.
“They said that their ovens had gone down, all kinds of stuff, but folks went and got them anyway, which is why I’m not telling you who made them,” Goldberg said, claiming that her order was rejected because “they did not like my politics.”
Entertainment Weekly later identified the business that she smeared as Holtermann’s Bakery which has been serving Staten Island customers for 145 years. The outlet identified the pink polka dot packaging as the dead giveaway that the Charlotte Russe came from the establishment.
Holtermann’s owner denied Goldberg’s claim that she was discriminated against because of her politics and that the reason why the bakery was unable to fulfill the order was due to mechanical issues with the bakery’s boiler which was on the fritz that day.
“I said to Whoopi, ‘I can’t do it right now,” Jill Holtermann told the outlet. “We have so many things going on with my boiler,’ because the building is from 1930, so, when she called me, I had no idea [if we could] be baking everything,” adding it had nothing to do with politics.
Goldberg’s untruthful punching down at the family-owned bakery sparked a firestorm of outrage and an outpouring of support, drawing thanks from Holtermann.
