Parents of a 17-year-old Washington girl are facing kidnapping charges for allegedly trying to abduct their daughter for an arranged marriage overseas.
Ihsan Ali, 44, and his wife, Zahraa Ali, 40, were arrested in Lacey, Washington, on suspicion of multiple crimes, including assault and attempted murder, in the October 18 incident.
Their alleged goal had been to take the teen to another country for an arranged marriage to an older man, and her father had threatened her with an 'honor killing' if she didn't cooperate, The Olympian reported.
