The crumbling of the Democratic empire

The party of the oligarchy thought it had a right to rule forever.

Ever since the rise of Barack Obama, Democrats have seen themselves as destined to rule. With his presidential victory in 2008, they created a seemingly unbridgeable political empire. With the support of big cities, young progressives, universities, the media and an ever-expanding government workforce, the party – led by what Roger Kimball calls ‘the Syndicate’ – imagined it could stay in power indefinitely.

Indeed! For years I've been saying that the Democrat party would eventually go the way of the Whigs and Tuesday moved them very far in that direction I think.
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

Well, let's just see how the next 4 years turn out. Frankly Trump's last 4 years didn't exactly inspire victory either.

This piece had far more to do with the Democrat oligarchy than Donald Trump.

Because the Rat empire is based on fictions, rhetoric, deception, deflection, gaming the system, and trying to destroy their enemies with lawfare. They abandoned all pretense of being for anything but despotic rule by their little intersectional clique long ago.

Many organizations implode when they become too inwardly focused.  The Dems are too busy congratulating themselves for saving Mother Gaia to pay attention to the American People.
"Political correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it’s entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end." - Alan Simpson, Frontline Video Interview
