Excerpt:
Kamala Harris narrowly avoided a painful mishap while touring a semiconductor manufacturing plant in Saginaw, Michigan. During her visit to Hemlock Semiconductors, Harris spotted a piece of shiny equipment and reached out to touch it, saying, “Can I touch it?” Thankfully, a quick-thinking plant employee stepped in just in time to prevent a potential accident.

Trump is helpful in McDonalds meanwhile Kamala in observation is already a burden.

"Can I touch it?" is the first thing she said at the start of her political career too 😭

Knowing what I do about Wafer Fabs, having worked in the biz for 35 years, I can tell you that at least half the equipment can cut you, burn you and/or poison you if you touch it wrong.  I learned to keep my hands in my pocket or behind my back when I go into an unfamiliar room in the Fab.

I wonder if there were any HF tanks nearby.

Nasty stuff that.

I don't think they'd let her in the same building with it.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Straight out of a tour for kindergarteners.

It really does reveal her lack of any type of meaningful hands-on work plus her lack of any sensibility.

The woman would be a disaster to this country.

She should tour a nuclear power plant and touch all the cool stuff there.

Speaking of nuclear they had better change the big red button to matte black.

I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

Vital in so many processes, yet the fear of HF acid is drilled into everybody's heads before being allowed to put on a bunny suit to even go into the Fab.  This appears to be an Ingot facility, so they may keep the HF far, far away.

(To those not familiar, we are talking about the Hydrofluoric Acid used to make the circuits on the wafers.  It's colorless, tasteless and it feels like water on your skin.  It's absorbed into the skin and creates intensely painful lesions.  If you got more than a small splash in you, it invades the internal organs, sucking all the electrolytes out, eventually causing heart failure and death.  It's serious business.)

Kamala spent time touring a semiconductor plant and didn't even know what material was being produced by the end of the tour.

To add, we used it to etch silicates in polished sections of rock. Does a bang-up job on glass, too (will eat glass bottles, and spill). But it's fume hood material even in small quantities, and full PPE.

As my Mom use to say, "Look with your eyes not your hands."
You don’t become cooler with age but you do care progressively less about being cool, which is the only true way to actually be cool.

Seeing her getting a jolt with 110V would be "must see" TV.

I'd pay.

not to mention what a 2% solution will dissolve when injected into a wellbore.

You cannot reverse it out and must be simply pumped away into a formation.

THe beauty of that is that it will make its own holes...

Never used it though. Various concentrations of HCl, and some glacial acetic wen we got keyseated in an anhydrite... the whole location smelled like a pickle factory for the rest of the well.

At my plant, we bring it in by the railcar.  Just think if one of those train's wrecked, E. Palestine style.  Definitely nasty stuff.  We badge into certain buildings so that they will know who died in there if an accident happens.  There won't be anything left to identify you with.

Ever watch Breaking Bad?  Here's a good illustration on hydrofluoric acid.

I did not know they ship that stuff in railcars...the notion of a railroad crash of a tanker car of HF is terrifying to me.

When I was working for a sub contactor at a Mobil Oil refinery the 1st thing I had to do was sit thru a 3 hour safety training course so not to get myself kilt.

Harris needed that.
