“Scientists say climate change makes these hurricanes larger, stronger and more deadly because of the historic rainfall.” • There is absolutely zero evidence that climate change makes hurricanes larger in size (i.e., diameter). • There is little evidence that hurricanes are becoming stronger. The number of category 3-5 hurricanes globally exhibit no statistically significant trend since 1980. This is backed by peer-reviewed research such as Klotzbach et al. (2022).
