If what the Left proposes or does sounds so outrageous that even the press think it is some sort of "conspiracy theory", then it is working swimmingly. Since Obama, and perhaps even the Clintons, it has been a standard gambit of the Left to engage in acts and programs that sound like a cross between science fiction and an over-the-top spy novel--and they do. Operation Fast and Furious (named after a movie franchise) is a fine example, with guns being sold by FFL dealers in bulk to sketchy characters at the behest of the BATF/DOJ so those guns can be recovered later from crime scenes in Mexico and just across our border to support the lie that American guns were being purchased by the Cartels and used in drug violence, in order to push for banning those guns in the US. Sound outrageous? It was, but it also happened, and had not an intrepid FFL had a secret second security system recording the whole exchange between them and the BATF (and a whistleblower blown the lid off the operation),it might have succeeded. Another operation, getting military hardware across the border (machine guns and grenades) was hushed up almost as soon as the story broke, lost down the memory hole of CYA for the administration. It was rumored that Hillary was involved in that one as SOS. Private servers for State business (in the bathroom closet), collections of classified documents in hard cope (Biden) and electronic form, including code name files (Hillary's server) were all whitewashed and glossed over without so much as a second glance by the popular (leftist) Press, and mentions of Agenda 21 and other Globalist Plans for our future get similar coverage, even as our roads are eurotrashed with roundabouts and 'Michigan lefts' to replace standard intersections that, frankly, worked just fine--especially where roads tend to ice over or drift with snow.
Is it any wonder that these reporters will scoff at the truth?
