McALLEN, TEXAS (Border Report) — Over 54 pounds of cocaine was seized in a single incident at a port of entry at one of two international reservoirs in South Texas, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials said Tuesday.

CBP says officers on Monday confiscated over $730,000 in cocaine at the Falcon Dam port of entry, which is located at the Falcon Dam International Reservoir, in Starr County, Texas.

Officers say the drugs were detected by canine units and non-invasive technology at the port. The drugs were found hidden inside a late-model MG5 car that officers had referred for secondary inspection.
