Energy policy is a major factor in inflation, and food is certainly no exception.
It takes fuel to till, plant, and harvest the vast acreage of grain in the US, It takes fuel to raise livestock, and fuel to transport both to processing and the results to market, and it takes energy to process and preserve that food.
Biden/Harris policies have been waging war on traditional energy sources from day one, and doing so aggressively, either directly, or by proxy (through grants to environmental groups which tie projects up in court).
It isn't just food, but food is a shining example of how increased energy costs are reflected in the price of goods, and how those increased costs drive inflation.
Spending a few trillion we don't have doesn't help either, but it is only part of the equation.
