Newsweek Claims Donald Trump Was Not Really Shot Because Only Part of a Bullet Hit Him

Newsweek is facing social media backlash after downplaying the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump by suggesting he was only hit with part of a bullet instead of an intact bullet.

The Newsweek article is titled “Donald Trump Might Not Have Been Shot After All.”

Newsweek attempts to justify this title by pointing to testimony from FBI Director Christopher Wray, wherein Wray said, “…With respect to former President Trump, there’s some question about whether or not it’s a bullet or shrapnel that hit his ear.”

For those of you who care about the meaning of the word, “shrapnel” is a piece of a bullet or, when on a battlefield, of the ordnance or other weapon deployed to kill or maim an enemy.

Merriam-Webster defines “shrapnel” as 1) “a projectile that consists of a case provided with a powder charge and a large number of usually lead balls and that is exploded in flight” and 2) “bomb, mine, or shell fragments.”

In other words, Trump was shot regardless of whether he was hit by an intact bullet or by pieces of that bullet, i.e., shrapnel.

In order for the bullet to be fragmented, it would have had to hit something in flight.
So, what did it hit?
The trajectory from the muzzled alleged to have produced the shot to Trump was line-of-sight, without any obstructions. The teleprompters were undamaged.

Wray is one of the top Clowns of Washington. Nothing he says has much in the way of credibility.

And if his performance before Congress the other day is any sign, we will not know any more in the future than we already know. They are playing for time to bury this investigation in some half mile long warehouse, where contents are placed and forgotten.

Unless they prove that the bullet in the photo was photo-shopped, it very much looks like a bullet pierced Trump's ear. None of the teleprompters looked damaged.
If they want to claim that a bullet hit something before it hit Trump's ear, then what was it?
Claiming a bullet didn't hit Trump's ear is ridiculous.
Why people in authority offer these ridiculous claims is beyond me.

Prolly not that one... Looks too low to be the right one to me. That one is running past about even with his ear lobe. The one that got him was high in the ear.

The attempt by lib media to change the narrative from bullet to shrapnel makes no sense. I guess they think nobody can be killed by shrapnel.
So, Trump wasn't really in danger. And he wasn't necessarily being shot at. I guess the assassin was basically aiming at the guy who got shot and killed and the two other people who were wounded. But not Trump. He was just in the area when he got struck by shrapnel.
I think the media really believes that if they push the shrapnel story, enough people will believe it. And many times they're right as many liberals will readily consume any b.s. from the media they're fed.

Dems and their MSM-shills are still trying to find crazy ways of denying that it was an assassination attempt, :rotf: . Because the next step in thought is to ask, "Why?" A question whose most logical and likely answer is, "Because Dems and other Progs have been Hitlerizing Trump for 9 years!"

The fantasy-theory that Trump was hit by accident by a bullet-spraying idiot is shown to be stupidly false by the crowd being 10s of yards away from Tromp, and the people on the platform being several yards away from Trump.

The fantasy-theory that Trump was hit by fragments of either some other object or a fragment of the bullet is shown to be stupidly false by the only solid objects near Trump's head, the teleprompters, still being intact after Trump was hit.

Whether the shooter was crafty or crazy, 9 years (nearly half his lifetime!) of Dems and other Progs Hitlerizing Trump was at least a major part of his motivation.

Nope. The parallax works the other way. Hold two fingers level with each other at eye level. Move them up, and the back finger looks lower than the front. Move them down and the back finger looks higher than the front. A bullet track on the back side of his head from the viewer, viewed from below would appear to be lower, if viewed from an angle looking down, it would appear to be higher.

This is one of my major fears regarding Trump. He really does not comprehend how to build a team around him that would solidly support him. He took Obama generals, and put them in key positions in the White House. He kept 1,400 or 1,500 Obama appointees for over one year. Why?
