President Joe Biden says that he would consider dropping out of the 2024 election if his medical staff diagnosed him with a new condition or disease that would make continuing to run impossible.

“If I had some medical condition that emerged, if somebody, if doctors came to me and said, you got this problem and that problem,” the president said during an interview with BET’s Ed Gordon when asked if there is anything that could make him change his decision to run.

The president’s comments came after he has mounted a fierce defense of his candidacy following the first presidential debate with former President Donald Trump in June, defying calls from some leading Democrats for him to make way for a new nominee.

Biden had previously stated that the only things that would force him from the race would be a sign from God, persistent urging from his immediate family, or if he was shown in polls that he had no chance of winning.

Though Biden has largely fended off calls for him to withdraw his 2024 bid, the assassination attempt on Trump just prior to the start of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, presented another hurdle for Biden’s reelection hopes.


Biden immediately pulled his ads attacking Trump from the airwaves and instead urged people on both sides of the aisle to “lower the temperature” surrounding the election, raising some anxieties among Democrats in the process.

The president’s brief pause on ads against Trump appeared to end Tuesday at a pair of campaign events in Las Vegas. Biden’s full BET interview will air at 10 p.m. EDT.

Nearly three weeks after Joe Biden‘s disastrous debate performance, several Democrats are being eyed as replacements for the president should he step aside from the campaign.

As the president’s calls with Democrats and prime-time interviews have reportedly done little to quell concerns about his age and mental acuity, various candidates have been floated for the top of the Democratic ticket. While Vice President Kamala Harris and Govs. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) and Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI) have been the top names tossed around, four other names are being floated as replacements for Biden.

Chuckie is also calling to delay the DEM convention.  Gee, who would have guessed?   *****rollingeyes*****

[Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., pushed for the Democratic National Convention's delay as questions of President Biden's 2024 candidacy persist, a source familiar told Fox News Digital.

Schumer spoke with House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., and both men agreed to urge a delayed convention despite initial plans to hold a virtual roll call to officially nominate Biden.

Don't worry.  The CDC says Covid is surging and dangerously high in 7 states. (Probably the swing states).  Joe can crawl back in his basement and run a repeat campaign of 2019.
